Online Business ideas!
Have you ever wanted to start your own business? Do you know how many opportunities there are online to make money? In this article, we’re going to cover different approaches to create and build online businesses.
Your first step is going to be to decide what kind of business you want to start. I recommend your business be somewhat of a passion or hobby of yours that you will enjoy through the up and downs of this journey. The next step is figuring out what business model and type of Revenue streams you will leverage and build into your business. For example, will you build a guitar business that will sell guitars with affiliate links and earn revenue through making commissions, or will you find a guitar supplier that will help you drop ship to your customers?
There are many ways you can set up revenue streams online, you can choose to sell a service, a product, or like mentioned earlier you can make commissions with no inventory, no nothing, by just using affiliate offers.
Because affiliate marketing is one of the quickest and cheapest ways to be able to make money in a niche, we will start by covering some affiliate marketing ideas to make money. We will start your online business by leveraging affiliate offers and then investing in building a more stable, and scalable foundation for your business.
The first affiliate marketing tip or business idea is to leverage Pinterest for your affiliate offers.
To do this pick a couple of products that are relevant to each other, and the type of business (niche) you want to start. You’re going to have to get creative and make some attention-grabbing, original pictures or photos for your products and services that you have become an affiliate of and are going to be promoting.
The next thing you’re going to do is make a few boards on Pinterest to fill out your profile. People aren’t going to follow your profile if its bare or it’s not very interesting. I would recommend starting with at least 10 – 20 boards that are relevant topics for your affiliate offers, so you can save your product pics as pins within those boards. You are going to add your affiliate links to your Pinterest by linking them to relevant images. To do this you take a product picture or product review image from your website, and save it as a pin, on one of your Boards linking them either directly to the affiliate link, or to your product review on your website!
Make sure to use keywords and play around with some hashtags in your description. It’s would also be a good idea to use a tool like pretty links plugin to shorten, Brand, and track your affiliate links. When someone sees this, they will see your a branded link on your pin, and if they happen to save it to one of their boards all there followers will see it and your brand! That’s what great about Pinterest it kind of helps your share your content and gain reach if you put the work in. If they click on your image they will be taken directly to the link that you put on that pin and in this case, it should be your affiliate link.
You also want to write quality product reviews for your website and include the same images in both places your Website and Pinterest that way you can leverage both routes. Make an affiliate linking pin for one board, then if you want you can make some minor changes to the image to switch it up or just save the same pin to a different board but link this on to the affiliate product review on your website. So just to make sure that’s clear, all we did was use a product image for 2 pins linking 2 different places, but either way we win!
So from these two examples, we learned that Pinterest can be a very valuable resource to drive traffic where we want it. You can also build up a very nice sized audience on Pinterest quite easily using a combination of a following /unfollowing campaign, and group boards to maximize your reach and number of monthly views greatly.
I’ve thought of a few of my own personal business ideas to share with you that I think Pinterest would be excellent to leverage for! The first Idea would start by signing up for multiple brand name and types of clothes, brand apparel, brand shoes, hats, Jewelry and any other apparel I could find. Then I would start building different whole outfit type topic boards. (summer outfits, winter outfits, country outfits, rock outfits, etc,) I’d also start putting together whole outfits that otherwise could only be purchased by having to go to 3-5 different websites or driving to 3-5 stores to buy each part of the outfit separately.
Essentially, we’re taking all the time-consuming, running around work out of the process. (driving and searching online) We make what would be multiple purchases from different retailers and make it an easy 1 or 2 clicks. I’d even be willing to bet that there are people out there that have a hard time putting a good outfit together, and by putting all the pieces of apparel together in one place, with pictures of what the outfits look like altogether and on someone if possible. Now a customer can buy an outfit that they would normally have to go to five or six different stores such as Walmart, Gucci, Kmart, Target, Etc, to get. I have found a way to save people time, I’ve been creative in a way that results in being helpful. Good-looking, Sexy-looking, Professional-looking outfits, that are able to be purchased quickly and easily, from already known and loved brands and also from already known and loved retailers all in one place would be a great business idea.
Another business idea that you can leverage Pinterest for it is kind of similar to The Apparel business idea above, basically, use the same concept only with custom aftermarket vehicle parts. So what I mean by this is, for example, let’s say you have a Wrangler Jeep, and you customize your Wrangler Jeep for off-road experiences and they’re always ordering aftermarket parts or custom-made parts. What you could do is take pictures of before and after of what the Jeep looks like with each custom aftermarket part and become an affiliate of that product then put that affiliate link into the custom picture leading people to also purchase the custom aftermarket part. The parts would make you a commission.
These are just a few of the ways that you could leverage Pinterest to make money to get your online business started. If you already have a website or business website make sure you’re leveraging Pinterest as a revenue stream. I would recommend getting a website as soon as you can, once your Pinterest has taken off for you or started to bring in an income in for you. There are a couple of reasons to get a website, if you want to have the best chance at success with your business then you need a foundation and your website will be your business’s foundation. Another reason is that it will make you look more professional and will give you more opportunities to make money.
